St. Thomas Becket is a Catholic parish of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter. Rooted in the fullness of the Catholic faith and enriched by the Anglican tradition, our parish is committed to reverent worship, faithful teaching, and sacred music that draws the whole person toward Christ.
We are home to young families, lifelong Catholics, converts, and those returning to the Catholic Church after time away.
Our Mission
The Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter exists to help bring people into full communion with the Catholic Church while preserving the spiritual, liturgical, and pastoral treasures of the Anglican tradition.
Our Story
St. Thomas Becket traces its roots to a community of Anglicans who entered full communion with the Catholic Church through the newly established Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter in 2012. What began as a small community of faithful Catholics has grown into a vibrant parish known for the beauty of its worship.
The same spirit continues today, drawing the faithful to the richness of Catholic worship through the spiritual heritage of the Ordinariate.
About the Personal Ordinariate
The Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter is a jurisdiction of the Catholic Church, similar to a diocese. Established by the Holy See on January 1, 2012, the Ordinariate serves Catholics who were nurtured in the Anglican tradition. The Ordinariate is fully Catholic in faith and practice, and carries the Anglican spiritual and liturgical heritage as a gift to the wider Church.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the Ordinariate is fully Catholic in faith and practice, worshiping through Divine Worship: The Missal, the liturgy that unites Ordinariates across the English-speaking world in the eloquence of the Anglican patrimony.
The Ordinariate carries forward a vision from the Second Vatican Council, that Christians entering full communion could bring the authentic gifts of their tradition with them, not suppressed, but received as a gift to the whole Church.

Based in Houston, Texas, the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter serves more than 40 Catholic parishes and communities throughout the United States and Canada.
